Divine Senyo, Office Manager
Divine Senyo joined the staff of Arlington Temple as the Office Manager in July 2014. Prior to joining ATUMC staff, Divine was the Office Manager for a local nonprofit organization that operates a technological and life skills training program, where she will continue to volunteer as a Teacher’s Assistant this coming Fall. She holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration and has over ten years of office management and project management experience. She is also on the volunteer staff of Just Neighbors, a nonprofit immigration services provider helping low income individuals who are pursuing legal status in the United States. Divine had been a part of the ATUMC congregation for several years before joining us as Office Manager, holding various leadership positions. In her spare time, Divine loves to read, dance and teach an African Dance Workout.
Barbara Wilkinson, Music Director
Barbara Wilkinson joined ATUMC as Director of Music on March 1, 2022. Having grown up in the United Methodist Church, she is delighted to be making music in her “home” church once again.
A native of NC, Barbara was born into a musical family. Her parents, both gifted singers and dedicated choir members, often brought their two young daughters to choir practice. It was an infectious beginning and in due time Barbara began piano at age 6.
She eventually pursued an undergraduate degree in piano performance at the University of NC-Greensboro, then followed that with a Master’s degree at the University of Michigan. Many years have passed since those student days and Barbara has experienced a satisfying and diverse career both in the US and as far afield as Belgium. From directing and accompanying choirs, to coaching student and professional singers, to teaching piano and voice, Barbara delights in supporting and empowering musicians of all levels and ages.
Beyond music, Barbara has a wonderful son, Erik, who lives close by in Washington, DC. She is also rather fond of her two cats, Genie and Coco, and enjoys traveling, decorating and gardening.
